Did you know that one of the best times to tune a piano is in the Fall? Pianos are very sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, and the biggest changes happen as you change over from winter to spring, and then again from summer to fall. It's important not to have the piano tuned right after the extreme high (or low) temperatures come to an end. Hello, I’m Bob Hilton here at Hilton Piano Center in Albany New York in Colonie Center. Today we are going to show you the teaching system of the future, it really is. This is a school lab set up where I have a set of headphones; a microphone and every one of your students would wear this same rig right here. There is also going to be a teaching console this would be on the teacher piano and with that console imagine the teacher being able to check in with any of your students, up to 48 students total. Be able to listen to them, talk to them, you can hear each other's pianos at the same time. You can also pair students together maybe to do a duet with themselves or group certain students together that are maybe working on one project. It is definitely the way to go for the future. You are so efficient as a teacher to be able to teach all these students in peace and quiet, each person having their own personal space, and being able to play, but yet being able to play with others. And also having that correspondence back and forth with that teacher. The teacher can put in any things that could be like a CD or any audio, or in case of the Roland digital pianos these are Bluetooth pianos with Bluetooth page turns, Bluetooth audio, and also Bluetooth midi where you can use scoring and so many other great learning apps out there, which I think really engages students today to really want to learn. Fun fact Monday. Look at this beauty! Sitting in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is the world’s oldest piano. Dating from 1720, the piano was one of the earliest creations by Bartolomeo Cristofori, the inventor of the piano. The very first piano made by Cristofori in 1700 is no longer in existence, but the title given to it, gravicembalo col piano e forte, reminds us of the essential characteristic of early pianos; playing loud and soft. Pretty cool, eh?

via IFTTT Excellent condition Hammond B3 organ. This organ is pre 1960 as it has the wood cheek blocks. Tone generator is whisper quiet. We had our tech go through it and verify its integrity. Original and very clean! Comes with matching bench and pedals. Pedals not confirmed the original one ones but work great. This B3 looks as good as it plays! It also has a Trek II output jack 1/4” with volume control installed. Great feature allowing to plug into a keyboard amp or to record.
